🇪🇺 TEEN European Digital Community: Baobab Tree from Benin City, Nigeria

Nigeria

Baobab Tree

I am a Nigerian digital artist creating illustrations, digital paintings, and storytelling projects using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Procreate. I love adventures, exploration, and learning from new experiences. My work focuses on culture, social themes, and inspiring teens and communities to engage with creativity. I am passionate about mentoring young people and using art as a tool for connection and self-expression.

The soil / the need

I was looking for ways to tell stories and connect with people through creative expression. I wanted a space where I could explore imagination and share ideas visually and emotionally.

The first seed

A performance I watched

Tell us about that first spark

A performance I watched online sparked my curiosity, seeing how stories can move people emotionally made me want to create and share my own art.

Roots (people & experiences that shaped your path)

My roots are the teachers and online communities that taught me digital art, and friends who inspired me to push creative boundaries. Watching performances and collaborating with peers helped me grow.

The trunk (what keeps you in theatre)

The joy of creating, sharing stories, and inspiring others keeps me connected. I love seeing how art can spark curiosity and conversation.

Branches (future / desire)

I want to use art to engage teens and communities in storytelling, culture, and creative thinking. I hope to build projects and workshops that inspire participation and connection across different mediums.

Are you currently involved in cultural activities?

Yes, sometimes

If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be? Why?

I would be a baobab tree; resilient, creative, and sheltering new ideas and younger artists under its branches.
