Cherry Blossom of Craft

I am the owner and designer of the Ukrainian brand kateveta_beadwork. My creative journey is multidisciplinary: I have a background in violin and theatre, and I spent years exploring different dance styles. At my lyceum, I was the head of the dance formation, which taught me how to manage creative processes and people. Today, I organize and produce showcases for my handmade beaded art brand. I am also deeply interested in history, art, and travel, which constantly inspire my designs. For me, theatre and the stage are spaces of professional inspiration and cultural diplomacy.

Tell us about that first spark

When I was a little girl, my parents took me to see Swan Lake. That was the exact moment I fell in love with both theatre and ballet. This spark became the beginning of a long appreciation for performance and classical art.

Roots (people & experiences that shaped your path)

My parents, who first introduced me to theatre, have been the most important part of my path. My experiences at the lyceum also shaped me: I performed as a narrator and played roles in four different plays. Ballet performances were another key root, helping me understand stage presence through movement and discipline.

The trunk (what keeps you in theatre)

My connection to theatre is driven by creativity and cultural diplomacy. Even though I am not a professional theatre actor, I often participate in creative contests and showcases. For me, the stage is a powerful tool for communication and for presenting ideas to the world.

Branches (future / desire)

In the future, I want to use what I learn from theatre to develop my creative brand professionally. Theatre is a source of inspiration for my designs and a place to learn cultural diplomacy, which is essential for presenting my work internationally. I hope to remain active in this environment and use storytelling and emotional depth to help my creative business grow.

If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be? Why?

A Cherry Blossom (Sakura) tree. For me, it represents the delicate beauty of handmade art and the importance of the right moment. Like handmade work, its blossoms require care and capture a specific emotion to share with others.
