My name is Nazarii, and I am from Ukraine. Theatre has always been a space where I can explore emotions, human stories, and the complexity of relationships in a way that feels alive and transformative. It allows me to experiment, take creative risks, and understand both myself and others more deeply. Workshops, collaborations with peers, and guidance from inspiring mentors have shaped my journey and shown me the power of performance to connect people. I hope to continue developing my skills, participate in meaningful and diverse productions, and use theatre as a way to share stories, provoke reflection, and connect with other young theatre creators across Europe.

The soil / the need

When I first got closer to theatre, I think I was missing a space where I could fully express myself. I was curious about stories, emotions, and human connections in a way that felt bigger than everyday life. I wanted a place to explore ideas, try on different identities, and see the world through someone else’s eyes.

The first moment theatre became important for me was when I watched a play and felt completely absorbed — it was like time disappeared. I realized I wanted to be part of creating that magic, not just watching it.

Roots (people & experiences that shaped your path)

Teachers, mentors, and friends who encouraged me to take risks on stage have shaped my journey. Participating in workshops, school plays, and local performances gave me experiences that showed me theatre could be both fun and meaningful.

The trunk (what keeps you in theatre)

What keeps me in theatre is the connection — to stories, to people, and to emotions. The thrill of performing, the challenge of creating, and the sense of community make me want to keep going.

Branches (future / desire)

I hope theatre will continue to be a space where I can grow, learn, and share stories that matter. In the next years, I want to explore new roles, collaborate with others, and perhaps inspire others through performances that provoke thought and empathy.
