🇪🇺 TEEN European Digital Community: Flowering Tree of Curiosity from Kharkiv, Ukraine
Ukraine
Flowering Tree of Curiosity
I am a curious and creative 16-year-old from Ukraine who loves exploring new ideas and experiences. I enjoy writing and inventing stories on the spot, taking photographs of nature, animals, and plants, and spending time outdoors discovering new places. I like logical and team games, planning and organizing tasks, and experimenting with personal style and clothing. I am open-minded, observant, and proactive, and I’m especially interested in psychology and human behavior. I hope to meet like-minded teenagers, exchange creative experiences, and contribute energy, curiosity, and creativity to the community.
The soil / the need
When I first got closer to theatre, I was looking for something real. I needed a space where I could explore thoughts and emotions without having to explain everything perfectly. I was curious about how stories are built and how people express what is hard to say directly. Theatre felt like a place where questioning, experimenting, and seeing different perspectives is normal.
The first seed
Social media / online content.
Tell us about that first spark
I remember noticing how a simple scene on stage could completely change the atmosphere in the room. A voice, a pause, or even silence made everyone feel something at the same time. That shared emotional response made me curious about theatre and its power to connect people.
Roots (people & experiences that shaped your path)
My theatre journey has been shaped more by experiences than by one specific person: watching performances, working creatively in groups, and reflecting on how stories influence people. Conversations with open-minded people and spaces where ideas could be shared freely also played an important role.
The trunk (what keeps you in theatre)
What keeps me connected is that theatre never feels fixed or limited. There is always something new to explore, another perspective to understand, or a different way to tell a story. It feels alive, and that constant discovery makes me want to continue.
Branches (future / desire)
I imagine theatre as a space for growth and exploration in my future. I hope it helps me understand people better, express ideas more confidently, and stay open to new perspectives.
If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be? Why?
A flowering tree with strong roots — flowers for curiosity, creativity, and energy, and roots for stability, experience, and steady growth.
