Mountain Pine
Hi, I’m Abdullah! I’m currently a university student, and beyond my studies my real passion lies in connecting with people and exploring the creative side of life. While my daily routine involves a lot of logic and numbers, my heart is drawn to art, poetry, and deep conversations. I love writing, listening to people’s life stories, and observing the world around me. I recently got into theatre because I wanted a space to express emotions and inner colors that don’t always fit into my usual day. I joined this community to meet other creative minds, share perspectives, and find new inspiration.
The soil / the need
I was looking for a space where I could step away from heavy analytical thinking and allow myself to be present, expressive, and emotionally honest.
The first seed
A festival / event.
Tell us about that first spark
A specific moment that stands out is when I attended a theatre class in February 2025. I remember finding it unexpectedly fun and liberating. It felt like a space where I could simply be present and experience something different from my everyday routine.
Roots (people & experiences that shaped your path)
Since I am relatively new to this world, my roots are mostly grounded in my own internal journey of self-discovery. My emotional sensitivity and my desire to understand complex feelings have pushed me toward the arts. I have realized that I am made of many different colors and emotions, and I am looking for a safe, creative space to channel them.
The trunk (what keeps you in theatre)
I have a strong desire to communicate deeply with other human beings, and theatre feels like the right environment to nurture those authentic connections.
Branches (future / desire)
In the future, I imagine theatre helping me grow into a person who can communicate effectively and leave a positive, real impact on society. I hope it gives me the tools to express my ideas clearly, connect with a community of creative people, and become a source of kindness and inspiration for others. One of my mottos: “Be kind.”
Are you currently involved in cultural activities?
Yes, sometimes.
If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be? Why?
A mountain pine. I have always been drawn to pushing my physical and mental limits to feel alive — sometimes walking for hours or days to reach a destination. A mountain tree feels unbreakable, quietly observing the world from a high vantage point. It reflects my introspective nature and my determination to build, fall, and stand back up again.
