Pine Tree

Hello to everyone reading this. I am Katya, I am 16 years old, and I am passionate about music and art. I have dedicated a huge part of my life to singing and culture – and it is true that these are things that I am ready to learn more and more about. I specialize in carols, folk songs, and I sing in a choir. Now I am more drawn to art, so now I am actively trying to find like-minded people who also like to do something creative and special. I write poetry, so I can find a metaphor for almost anything, most of all I like to extract emotions and comparisons through nature. For me, creativity begins with nature, and I feel like a child of forests, fields, who is in love with mountains and the sea. I am part of several organizations and groups that are engaged in the spread of culture and creativity, and in the future I plan to establish something new.Maybe there is someone here who would also like to establish a creative project or organization? If so, I look forward to hearing from you.

The soil / the need

I am so fascinated by theater that I am ready to talk about it forever! For me, this place is, first of all, about emotions, about authenticity and about sincere play, whether I am in the role of a spectator or an actor. When you enter this space, the only thing that comes to mind is the desire to be in this atmosphere. Through theater, I explore myself and feel the world, because they talk about such things and feelings that people often keep silent about in life, because in the modern world, digital technologies have distanced us greatly from each other and the real us choose to run away, just so as not to show our true selves. And I always wanted to be real, but in many places I encountered rejection of this, because, as people say, the world cannot be trusted, and I trust it and sincerely love it with all my heart. That is why I come to the theater at least to take care of that creative and sincere part of myself and explore the world more from its emotional side.

The first seed

A performance I watched

Tell us about that first spark

When I was 5 years old, my dad was given free tickets to the theater for a New Year’s performance. Before that, I didn’t know about the theater, but when I first came there, it was such sincere and intriguing emotions that at that moment, I was ready to run out onto the stage and play with the actors. It wasn’t just a spark in my eyes, it was my childhood hyperfix, and that’s why after that my parents and I stopped going to the movies altogether, because I always wanted to go to the theater. I remember how enthusiastically I told my parents about different actors, who played what, which characters I felt sorry for, and then I wanted to learn to read, because I knew that this creative world is also in books. The theater became my starting point on my creative path and it was he who shaped my personality. That’s why it still remains so important to me. I’m not a child anymore, but when I see a performance, the same sparks appear in my eyes as when I was 5 years old.

Roots (people & experiences that shaped your path)

Of course, when I was just starting out, my parents were my main support, but as I got older, I met more and more people. Now there will be a very unexpected example, but I started singing professionally thanks to Billie Eilish. I remember listening to her songs, my favorite of which was the song Lovely. and, you know, I was so sincerely sad for her that I dreamed of singing it somewhere. When I met my first pop vocal teacher, my life changed 360 degrees. She saw talent in me, saw my creativity, my ear for music, that I don’t just feel music, but live it. Therefore, for quite a long time she was my salvation, because then there were really hard times and, it seemed, I really lacked understanding. However, she was always with me and supported me in all my endeavors. So I was able to look at creativity from a completely different perspective, not just intuitively, but professionally. For me, people have always been and will remain the main value. I love people. And when I meet someone who really impresses me, I learn, admire, and learn something about myself. Therefore, people are my source of inspiration.

The trunk (what keeps you in theatre)

Our interconnectedness. For me, theater is my second home. I don’t feel lonely in it, I don’t feel too complicated or incomprehensible. It’s an important part of my life, it’s like an organ in my body. I just love it. There’s no complicated reason. I really love theater, I really love actors, I really love performances. It’s a kind of platonic love. I still continue to explore myself and learn new things, and sometimes even learn morals from different stories. That’s why I almost never get bored in the theater.

Branches (future / desire)

In the future, theater will play an extremely important role. I see myself as a future innovator in some new theatrical direction. I want to popularize this, and where life will take me is a matter of time!)

Are you currently involved in cultural activities?

Yes, regularly

If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be? Why?

I would definitely be a pine tree!! I am a child of the forest, and I am also tall. This is the tree I associate with myself. There is even a photo of me in a pine forest below!)
