🇪🇺 TEEN European Digital Community: Spruce Tree from Warsaw, Poland

Poland

Spruce Tree

I am an artist working across sculpture, graphic arts, photography, and digital collage. I began drawing very early in childhood and later studied sculpture, which shaped both my discipline and my nonconformist approach. My artistic practice explores technology, the sacred, death, fear, and provocation — transforming unsettling aspects of reality into expressive visual forms. I am interested in experimentation, contemporary visual language, and creating work that disturbs, questions, and opens space for reflection.

The soil / the need

The first time I got closer to theatre was when I was attending Sunday school. I don’t clearly remember how it all happened — I only remember that I had a green spiky costume.

The first seed

A parent / family.

Tell us about that first spark

I can’t remember one specific spark. I was often in the theatre: attending performances, being present during rehearsals, and helping with the preparation of sets and decorations. Theatre entered my life gradually, through presence and participation.

Roots (people & experiences that shaped your path)

I wouldn’t say I have a theatre path yet in terms of actively performing. I’m more interested in stage design, scenography, and possibly performative art, and I would like to try these directions for myself. Along this path, people have always been important to me.

The trunk (what keeps you in theatre)

People who give me theatre tickets 🙂
And volunteering in the theatre — helping with preparation before and after performances.

Branches (future / desire)

Performative art. I would like to develop myself in this field and explore how visual art and performative space can meet.

If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be? Why?

A spruce tree. Near my home in Belarus there was a spruce forest. I love its smell and its color, and for me it is deeply connected to nostalgia and longing for home.
