Willow of Cinema and Sound

I’m Stasia, 18, and I’m really into film. I make short films and videos, and I also love film photography, music, fashion, and design. I play drums in a shoegaze/emo band called riot riot riot. I’m originally from Ukraine, but currently I study Multimedia in Lithuania and hope to move to a bigger city in the future. I love learning languages — I speak Ukrainian, English, Japanese, and a bit of French. I’m hoping to meet people with similar interests and maybe create something cool together.

Tell us about that first spark

The first time I visited my theatre club, when I was around 9–10, I instantly liked it and found my first friends there.

Roots (people & experiences that shaped your path)

Mostly people — especially my teachers. After my theatre club, I joined film school, which became a turning point for me and for my interest in cinema.

The trunk (what keeps you in theatre)

My country’s theatre culture is very strong and powerful, with many great actors and directors. It keeps me motivated to continue.

Branches (future / desire)

I hope the skills I already have will give me more opportunities to get closer to theatre, and I would like to try myself not from the actor’s perspective, but as a director.

If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be? Why?

A willow tree, because it reminds me of my childhood.
