Project description
The organization behind Art residency “POINT” is both an art residency and youth center, managed by a collective of local activists and volunteers with pedagogical and community experience. It operates within the broader cultural framework of Visaginas, supported by the Visaginas Cultural Centre, and is part of the regional Art Catcher network — a collaboration designed to strengthen artistic residencies across the Country of Lakes region.
Founded with the mission to provide tools and opportunities that improve lives and strengthen communities, the organization develops projects that address real needs, create meaningful connections, and inspire positive change.
This program fully reflects that mission: it makes artistic resources and knowledge accessible to young people, fosters inclusion and equity, encourages active participation, and builds bridges between generations and cultures. Teens lead creative processes from concept to execution, gaining practical skills, a sense of ownership, and the opportunity to represent their work on national and international stages.
