Project description
“Crossing Lines” is a contemporary dance and improvisation project led by choreographer Melissa Lucatello. The project engages teenagers in creative experiments and movement labs to explore concepts of boundaries, identity, and cultural roots. The young participants are empowered as co-creators in the production and implementation phase, where they develop choreographic material and build a final participatory performance. The process also includes the creation of a short video and a visual exhibition with photos and texts by the teens, with the goal of creating a comprehensive artistic statement that extends beyond the stage. The experience helps them develop confidence and a sense of ownership, making the final work a powerful reflection of their collective vision.
