Peculiarity

The project doesn’t just involve them, but puts them in a position to concretely develop and realize their artistic ideas, with the support of professionals who act as guides and mentors.
Project description
“ENDSTATION GEISTERBAHN” is a participatory, multimedia exhibition project by uzwei, the educational department of the Dortmunder U. Over the course of about one year, participants aged 14 to 21 have the opportunity to develop and produce their own artistic works, such as installations and media art. The entire process is focused on the young people’s ideas, who maintain individual management of their own projects, with the support of professional mentors. Guided by a duo of artistic directors, they explore the theme of “Geisterbahn” (ghost train) and its social and artistic relevance, learning to transform their visions into a concrete exhibition accessible to all.
