Open Call for Co-Curatorial projects with teenagers
Are you working on a project that involves teenagers not only as an audience, but as active co-creators? We’re looking for you!
ForesTEEN is launching a call to map and connect creative processes where teenagers are actively involved in shaping, organizing or co-curating cultural and artistic experiences. This could be a show, a festival, a workshop, or any initiative within the creative sector (e.g., exhibitions, events, communication campaigns, merchandise design, etc.).
We’re particularly interested in understanding how involving teens as co-curators – not just in creative roles, but also in organizational and decision-making functions – can foster deeper engagement and meaningful participation.
🚀 What You’ll Get
The possibility for you as responsible for the project and max. two teenagers applying from the project to:
– be featured at SEGNI Festival 2026 or 2027, either through programming or as part of a special presentation.
– The visibility of your project/organisation on the international map of the ecosystem – shared, promoted, and made accessible to the public.
– To be part of the monthly online ForesTEEN Meetings
– To be invited to share your process during a Masterclass at SEGNI Festival 2026 or 2027, connecting with other practitioners.
– To have a spotlight in the FORESTEEN Online Festival, a digital space that connects teens who can’t travel with projects, that inspire and engage them.
We believe in creating an equal space (physically and digitally!) for all generations to voice out their opinions – enabling teens to be co-authors of and decision makers for culture, not just consumers.
🗺 What We’re Doing
We aim to map and highlight projects and processes across the globe that embody this approach. This effort is part of a broader strategy to better understand the ecosystem that makes teen engagement meaningful and sustainable in the creative sector.
