Project description

Rrreal Special is a theatre project in development that aims to co-create an inclusive performance with two European teenagers (ideally, actors with and without disabilities). The goal is to explore themes like identity, difference, and belonging, reflecting on what it means to be seen as “special.” The young co-creators will have a central role in defining the concept, writing scenes and dialogue, and making artistic decisions. The project could culminate in a short 10-20 minute performance to be presented at a festival or shared digitally, and it also offers the opportunity for the participants to join a larger production in Australia. The entire process is based on the idea of genuine co-creation that gives space for all abilities to be heard.
