SCHOOL OF CULTURAL MANAGMENT – Chernivtsi, Ukraine
School of Cultural Management (gedankendach.de) - Ukraine
TEEN’s role in the project
- Co-design the educational program and shape its content.
- Conceptualize, develop, and implement their own cultural projects.
- Manage the budget, content, and logistics for their initiatives.
- Act as leaders and curators, with adults taking on a supporting and consulting role.
Peculiarity
This project is an example of Mixed Participation that evolves from a facilitated learning model to a completely self-led one. Initially, adults co-designed the program with teens; later, the teens took full control, transforming their ideas into concrete cultural actions. This model shows how young people, when supported and empowered, can become active agents of cultural change.
Project description
The School of Cultural Management is an educational platform that provides teenagers with the tools to become cultural curators and leaders in their community. The program was developed to give young people the chance to transform their creative ideas into socially relevant projects. Through lectures with professionals and hands-on learning, participants designed and executed their own initiatives, addressing topics like war-related stress, literary heritage, and refugee integration. The project is based on the principle that culture is not just passive consumption, but an area for democratic action and transformation.
