Snip Snap Snout is a cultural festival born in Potenza, Italy, from an initiative by the Gommalacca Teatro company. The main goal is to promote a “generational change” within the theatrical and cultural world by giving young people a leading role in the creation of artistic events. The festival is a laboratory of ideas and a meeting point for the city, where storytelling and the transformative power of stories are at the heart of every activity.

The Role of Teens in the Project

The role of the young people in this project is that of a Participatory Artistic Direction (DAP). In this capacity, young people aged 15 to 30 are not just spectators but true co-creators and organizers, as they:

• Actively participate in the planning and organization of the festival.
• Are involved in various roles, such as ideators, organizers, and creatives.
• Contribute to the realization of artistic actions that highlight generational skills.
• Work to build a shared “creative fabric” with the community.
